My Personal Development Recommendations

To live a healthy & fit life, 20% of your results will come from your workouts, 80% from your nutrition, but 100% from your MINDSET. Think of the reasons you either got to the point where you are or gave up in the past..."I can't seem to stay motivated...I'm not a morning person...I don't have time...I'm afraid I'll fail....I have no discipline or self-control...I've never finished what I've started...I will never be a fit person...If I fail once, I might as well never try again..." ALL of thes…

3 Ingredient Shakeology Peanut Butter Cups

We all know and love Reese's Peanut Butter cups, right? Dang, you can't even open the package without watching the waistline increase. Only because, I can't just eat one. Nope....no willpower in the slightest.

So, I'll find anyway which way to recreate some of my favorite childhood treats. And Peanut Butter cups, never failed.

I knew there had to be away for my to make them with Shakeology, and after seeing a few versions of them....I went for it!

Now, I will warn you, they won't last long! No sir…

You Crave What You Eat

You remember that ol' saying, "you are what you eat?" Don't you just want to kick someone for saying that to you?

Well, get your steel toed boots out, and kick the sh*t out of me....as it's TRUE!!

You are what you eat. You CRAVE the food you eat!

This was inspired by a book I'm currently listening to, called Made to Crave, by Lysa TerKeurst. It's available in book form too, but I'm an audiobook gal. Audible is my jam.

Cravings are a part of life.

Some are healthy, other are not.

When we eat o…

My Best 6 tips to start the New Year

HOW TO KICK OFF 2017 WITH PURPOSE:

1. WRITE OUT A PLAN. Go get yourself a super simple notebook, or whip out your Smartphone, and write out what your plan is! If you don't write it out, don't expect one to fall in your lap.
2. LAY OUT YOUR WORKOUT CLOTHES. Some choose to sleep in them (too much material for me), but I have them laid out every night, so I can have them ready for my 5am alarm. Which brings me to....
3.SET YOUR ALARM. And place it on the other side of the room! Then you are le…

[RECIPE] Baby & Toddler Friendly Sweet Potato, Zucchini Mini Loaf

I used to be really good about making my kids baby food. Then, I decided to have a third, and then, a fourth kid. Now, every once and again, the Baby may just have a day of pouches, for her meals. Yes, #badmom, right? At least they are generally organic. :D

But I got a wild hair and instead of working through nap time, I took to Pinterest and got to searching some new ideas for quick & easy recipes that were baby and toddler friendly.

Sweet Potato Zucchini MuffinsI'm the type too, that I don't like to follow someone else's re…

[RECIPE] Chocolate Shakeology Pie

This Chocolate Shakeology Pie is hands down, my favorite "clean treat" to make. It's filling, nutrient rich and best of all, GUILT-FREE!

I make this every year around the holiday, as it keeps me honest to my goals, without feeling like I over did it, and fill up with regret. Plus, it's always a hit with whoever tries it, and they are shocked that it's made with Shakeology. And, kids love it too! Moms, you don't have to feel guilty about letting your kids have an extra slice, as they will just get…

[RECIPE] Sweet Potato Casserole

I love the holiday's. Not only is it a chance to get family together and focus on love (sappy, sappy!), but we get to eat SWEET POTATOES!

Well, at least in my family.

Although, come to think of it, doesn't really take a holiday excuse to eat sweet potatoes. I could have them morning, noon and night, 365 days a year. Seriously. I love them. And the nutrient benefits, are bar none!

Every year, I try and perfect my Mom's infamous Sweet Potato casserole. I've healthified (is that even a word??) it as b…

[DIY] Elderberry Syrup

'Tis the season for the entire household to go down in flames as coughs & colds hit everyone. And when you have a family of 6, no one has time or energy for that. So, I love that you can hop on Amazon, order up your ingredients for DIY Elderberry Syrup, and get the juices flowing in the kitchen.

Also, my "inner circle" includes many people that share the same interests in homeopathic remedies and solutions to keeping ourselves healthy and giving a boost to the immune system, so love that we can s…

[RECIPE]: Kale Pesto with Roasted Butternut Squash

I love that my Mom and I share an interest in make some tasty Fall recipes, a little bit more healthy! She was just here for a visit for Halloween, and loves to make us dinner, and has been raving about this dish she made, so asked if she could make it for us. Don't have to ask us twice!!

There is something to be said about the labor of love in making your own pesto. It's relatively easy and you know EXACTLY what's going into it, and how much oil.

Now, we aren't total stickler's when it comes to m…

[RECIPE] Easy Homestyle Chili

There is NOTHING better a hearty, healthy home cooked chili, on a crisp fall or winter day.  Agree?

This recipe has been in my family for years and has yet to be messed with, other than swapping out the meat between ground beef, bison or ground turkey.  Too each their own, but regardless, so simple to make and is even better on Day 2.

Get a big ol’ pot out and get ready for some salivating glands as you cook it:

Serves roughly 6-8 people or 4 with LOTS of leftovers (again, DELICIOUS on day 2 and co…
